  5. I do not like the "churches have to look like bunkers or missile launching pads" way of modern German church architecture - these buildings seldom fit with their surroundings and simply look awful.

    Nonetheless: your perspective is cool - as ever, ;-).

    I must say that I focussed here on the red stone. There are also large swathes of glass in the construction, which make it look less like a bunker or castle. There are many churches built in Saarbrücken after the war that I find far uglier. Maria Königin, in comparison, uses the native red stone instead of concrete, has lots of airy glass, and is composed of simple, elegant curves.
