Ironworks Co-op

  1. Happy Nikolaus! It's amazing that there are still old signs around - I like the perspective (and am under the impression I have said this a thousand times already on your blog, ;-)). Without the blue door the photo might have been a little bit too simple.

  3. Joan Elizabeth, just in the strange part where AB lives and that I visited some weeks ago, ;-).

  4. Thanks for the comments.

Martina: Happy Nikolaus, to you too (a day late). I guess I could have sought out something more seasonal for the day's photo.

Joan Elizabeth: As Martina has pointed out, Saarland has traditionally been an area especailly strong in iron and steel-making. And this site is one of the most historical, being one of the first in proto-Germany to enter the industrial revolution.

    Asta: Thanks.

    Frau G: Danke.
