I took this train (I would have preferred a TGV, but okaay) this year in June ... :-) ... it was such a relief when it crossed the border and entered the highspeed route after put put put putting from Mannheim to Saarbrücken.
Impresionante, el tren y el tiempo, apenas suficiente para iniciar un libro, escuchar un poco de musica o para una breve conversacion. Magnifico angulo.
The ICE is cool, but I did not have the opportunity to take a TGV yet ... so it would have been nice to take one to Paris. Hm, I do not know anything about a high speed line in the Pfälzer Wald .... .
Mm, wish our trains looked as good as this. 'Fraid ours look rather boxy in comaprison to the smooth elongated engine in your photo. Melbourne Daily Photo
It alwasy amazes me - seems that world has shrunk!
ReplyDeleteHow good is that... after my recent trip to Dubbo I've fallen in love with trains but we don't have anything so sleek or fast here in OZ.
ReplyDeleteCada vez el tiempo nos agobia más ... que velocidades, impresiona
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo

ReplyDeleteFantastic! Love the contrast of the modern train with the 'classical' nature around it.
