ReplyDeleteJulie, Joan Elizabeth: I have now answered the market question in the original entry. Yes, the town dates back to mediaeval times. And in the 15th century it became the capital of the independent Duchy of Zweibrücken.
ReplyDeleteThere are similar statues in Wroclaw in previous livestok market called 'Jatki' I like them very much, they are so funny - great idea to make city prettier in quite simple way:)

That is so cute. I have seen a lamb near where I live, and a white pig in Hobart but nothing like this.
