This and the previous pic are nice shots... I don't think I've ever been inside an old mine shaft... did you go further inside??
I could not go in this one. The best thing of that sort in this area is the mine museum in Petite Roselle. You get a good feel for what it was like to work in such mines.

Unfortunately, there was a big metal gate. My journey got no further than the entrance!
