Celtic face #1

There is currently a major exhibition on Celts in the old ironworks in Völklingen. Saarland is located in an area which was at the core of the La Tène Celtic culture and many traces from that time have been unearthed here. As for the exhibition, the images of faces are what I found the most fascinating.

    I'm hoping for you that they had a replica of the Gundestrup cauldron - in my opinion it's the most amazing find dating back to the Celtic period, and definitely worth seeing because it's full of stunning depictions of beasts, antlered gods, etc.
