  1. Your angle makes it feel like she's a very strict and quite scary mother.

  3. I am with Hilda: the child seems very afraid. Is it really the angle or is it the sculpture?

  5. Looking at it again I think the child's face is of an older person rather than a child ... that is making him look fearful rather than playful.

  6. A back does it really lively.

It is pleasant that I imagine what kind of face he does.

  8. Thanks for the comments.

Hilda: Oh dear, I hope I have not done the mother a disservice.

    Joan Elizabeth: Thanks.

Martina: Well, the angle blocks the mother's expression and makes her look large. But as Ruma says, you can see it as an invitation to imagine the mother's face for yourself.

    Asta: Thanks.

    Cezar and Léia: Obrrigado.

Joan Elizabeth: That is what I thought, that the chiseled features and the perfectly coiffured hair are of a man not a boy. Although others see fear in the face, I find it is mostly expressionless as all detail is missing around the eyes.

    ruma2008: Thanks.

    Carraol: Gracias.

  9. By the way, the hut in the background is not usually there. It is part of the Christmas market.

  10. I like the angle, I think it's interesting. It will be hard to show both their faces since they look at each other and not to the viewer, so your choice is a perfect solution for photographing this sculpture.
