This sculpture is entitled Sitzende (Sitting woman) and is the work of a local artist, Otto Zewe (1921-2003).

  6. This is the same thing that my children do when I try and take their photo. They become stiff, and look the other way. :-)

  8. A very fine piece of artistry. She looks like a mother to be who has sat down with weariness, and is stretching her back. This is the pose that most people have when stretching - arms flung out, head turned away, legs/knees apart.

  9. Just checked, and it is indeed #365. I asked you not long ago what you would do when you reached the original aim. Now that you are there, what do you think?

    This sculpture, by the way, reminds me of a woman part-way through child-birth, who is leaning back to ease the back-ache with legs akimbo to make room for the action.
