flowers, french village, red bicycle

Recycled cycle

There must have been a shortage of plant pot holders in France, but the resourceful inhabitants of the village of Blies-Guersviller found a way to put their colourful blooms on display.

  7. Hm, everyone seems to like it ... not me. Of course I don't mean the photo, ;-), but a red bicycle with red geraniums? Really?

  11. Thanks for the comments.

Don and Krise: I love it, too. Roadside art might be the more appropriate term, here.

clo: Vive le ricyclage de vélos!

Joan Elizabeth: Nearby there was a one metre high watering can full of flowers.

    RogerB: Thanks.

ical: Now you know what to do with all your old scooters in Jakarta.

R.Ramakrishnan: The red paint does make it rather eye catching.

Martina: I see from some of the comments in your blog that you know French. I think you should come down to Blies-Guersviller and give some lessons in colour coordination.

    JM: I thought so, too.

Buenos Aires Photoblog: It makes you wonder what else you could use to hold plants. It might be interesting just to take junkyard and plant flowers in it.

    gogouci: Thanks.
