Carraol: this is one of the photos that I would probably not have taken with a normal camera. I was on my way home and keen to get home. I would not have unpacked a camera from a bag for this shot.
Julie: I like capturing abandoned mines and factories, and they do represent the passing of Saarbrücken's industrial heritage, but I should point out that town as whole does not give an impression of being in terminal decline. I had to look hard to find tha abandonned factory of 2009-05-12. Most of that area is now home to IT and new media companies, as the comment I just posted to 2009-05-15 shows.
Great composition and beautiful reflection! I'll try to be more creative with my phone than just talk. Your idea is very inspirational.
ReplyDeleteExcellent.... once again inspirational.
ReplyDeletethis is a lovely atmospheric shot! I really like it.
ReplyDeleteI agree that this is lovely and inspirational. However, I also am moved by the abandoned factories/mining buildings of the last few days.
