looks remarkably like some of the pit-heads in northern England...before they all vanished!

ReplyDeleteThe pits and slagheaps have all gone. I was shocked about a year ago when I discovered the whole of Grimethorpe colliery had totally disappeared with the main road now going straight through where it used to be.
