The dark sky and shadows, the nasty looking spikes, the gargoyles and dragon ... very creepy. Oh, it's a church!
It's terrific shot,AB with the shadows and evening sky! And a bit spooky:)
tre belle photo...avec un superbe jeu d'ombre et de lumiere...bravo....
et un grand merci pour vos visites et commentaires...bonne fin de semaine..
You have captured the lighting really well,AB. You have provided a strong sense of imagery/analogy whether intentionally or not.
Wonderful angle, you are an artist! This picture is stunning!
Léia :)
Very nice church and photo - you had luck to see that building without a scaffolding :-)
Very interesting light and shadow play!
Thanks for the comments.
kobico: Just out of sight was a big reg “open” sign. Maybe that would be more welcoming and less creepy. Or perhaps even creepier?
joo: Dziękuję.
clo: Merci beaucoup.
Julie: Thanks.
Cezar and Léia: Obrigado.
wooki: Danke. Yes, the eternal scaffolding is stopping me from taking larger view of the Johanneskirche. But, they had to leave a space for people to get in. If I remember, on that day or the day after, they had a rock concert there for the first time ever.
JM: Obrigado.
To me it looks dark and mysterious rather than creepy.
I like how you've captured the light shining onto the statue - it makes for a softer look.
